Security
Are smartphones sufficiently secure for payment transactions?Swiff meets international banking and payment transaction standards. The Swiff reader is PCI compliant and encrypts all data before sending it to our PCI compliant gateway. No useful data is stored on the phone or on the card reader. The only data stored in the history tab is the data that is sent back by the gateway. This data cannot be used as it is masked. The history data can be disabled for maximum security purpose.
What happens if my phone and reader are stolen? Is my data and money safe? All your transaction data is safely and securely stored on the payment gateway. Even if your phone is stolen, nobody will be able to access the credit card data. The history tab in the Swiff app gives a secure snapshot of past transactions, but no data can be used. The history data can be disabled for maximum security purpose. |
